Bruins' Lucic undergoes successful surgery

Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that Bruins forward Milan Lucic underwent successful surgery to repair a broken right index finger. He is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Lucic’s surgery was performed by Dr. Matthew Leibman at Massachusetts General Hospital on Sunday, October 18. Lucic sustained the injury on Friday, October 16 during the team’s game against the Dallas Stars.

The 21-year-old has skated in six games this season with 0-3=3 totals. He was placed on Long Term Injured Reserve on Sunday, October 18, retroactive to October 16.
